H.M.S. 1

HMS 1 is a classification of scrap metal that holds significant value in recycling and the steel industry. It encompasses various ferrous materials, such as obsolete machinery, demolished structures, and industrial remnants, all of which can be reprocessed  to recover usable metal. 

H.M.S. 2

HMS 2 is a commonly traded ferrous scrap material that consists of wrought iron and or steel scrap with a minimum thickness of 1/8 inch. It includes industrial and commercial scrap, as well as obsolete scrap from various sources.

PLATE AND STRUCTURE

This category of scrap consists of steel plates, beams, girders, columns, and other structural components that are no longer needed for their original purpose.
